I discovered the Harry Potter world through my little brother actually. He is twelve years younger than me - therefore exactly in the targeted age-group of the first book. I think it was one of the first books he actually read - part of a project his teacher gave the class in English class. Despite our huge age gap, we're both the nerdy type and he got me reading The Philosopher's Stone with him and I loved it. I was from that moment on, hopelessly addicted!

Favorite Character
Ron. Without a single doubt. He is funny, loyal and he just really does it for me. He's got that sidekick status of course, but he's just a great character. I've never been one to go for the hero and this time is no different. For everybody in the wizarding world it's all about Harry and they just seem to overlook Ron. But he's a pure-hearted loyal person and I'm convinced he will be by Harry's side until the end, ensuring his sucess. If I were at Hogwarts, I'd so have a crush on him. Harry who?
Least Favorite Character
Cho Chang. I despise her with all my heart. She is shallow, self-centered, stupid and just plain annoying. I mean what kind of person acts like she does, really... (actually, sadly a lot of people do...) I really want to slap her though. I just hope J.K will kill hr off sometime early in Book 7 - or even better, never mention her again.
Actually doing a Cho is an expression i use when people whine and cry for no reason. :p

Ron/Hermione all the way. Yup madam. And you freaky H/Hr leave me alone. You scare me! lol. I'm no insane shipper, but I like them together, they make laugh and I find them incredibly cute. I do think they're well sorted and them being couple will produce some really touching - and some plain hilarious moments... Go get her tiger!
I also enjoy Harry/Ginny - although I didn't actually ship the before book 6, but I do think they're cute together and I wanted to thump Harry for doing a Peter Parker on her! Everyone knows he has a thing for her, so she's pretty much in danger anyway. But I'm sure he'll come round and I hope they'll end up together...

I also have this thing reading OotP, that Snape had some kind of crush on Lily, I don't really know why, but I just picked that up. I'm probably completely off my head, but well... Who knows?
